Hawaiian Fashion and Hibiscus Flowers

Doll-friends (Faith and Nanea) sent a lovely little package from their home in Hawaii a couple weeks ago. It was a dress for Nanea, actually from Maui! Naturally, she couldn’t wait to wear it and has been since it arrived. There’s something extra special about receiving a new dress from friends when you aren’t expecting it. Weather here has been wacky, but it was nice and sunny the other day, and a beautiful Hibiscus flower was blooming in the backyard. Time for some photo fun!

Amazingly, the Hibiscus in our backyard is a perfect match for this beautiful flowered dress — which even came with a flower hair clip and a nice shell necklace. I forgot to put the necklace on her for the photos, because she’d changed to a lei while sitting here on my desk. Her sandals are from Nanea’s Birthday Outfit, and the yellow ankle leis are from her Hula Dress.

Nanea doesn’t know this yet, but there’s another package coming from Hawaii quite soon from some more friends! So, stay tuned for a bit more Hawaiian fun in the future. It’s going to be pretty exciting. Aloha!
