Everyone on Islandshire looks forward to new shops opening on Main Street, and the latest buzz of activity has been coming from the empty building recently rented by Jill and Silver. Ever since their last trip to Disney Springs in Florida, it’s been their dream to bring Goofy’s Candy Company to the Island. But it takes a lot of work to get a fun-filled shop ready. They’re planning everything from doughnuts to cotton candy to bagged snacks, all with bright colors and character themes. But don’t worry! The first “shipment” is here, so the girls are beginning to stock the shelves.

You’re thinking that looks pretty good, right? Well, it is — but that background is the real Goofy’s Candy Co in Florida. We’re still working on the paint and shelving for Islandshire, but the new snack bags are now ready and waiting.

There are four different lines of snacks in shiny bags that are sure to catch any tourist’s eye. The original Goofy’s Candy bags are things like classic gummies and unicorn pops. For the more adventurous eater, there are the Stitch Extremes — the ultimate experience in super sour and spicy sweet. And for the health conscious, there are Chip & Dale nut and fruit choices, while the Snacks with Character bags offer gluten-free and allergy-friendly snacks that are sure to please!

It’s a good thing that dolls can’t open packages, because they haven’t realized that there aren’t actual snacks in these little bags! (If you meet them on the street, please don’t mention this to them.) We’re getting very excited about working on this doll set-up over this coming winter. We’ve been collecting a lot of the baked goods and food items, but the snack bags have been a bit elusive. Over the past month, I’ve been playing with ways to make doll-sized shiny bags and finally got a good template and method. Jill and Silver have the special arms/hands from Tenney and Logan dolls, so they can even hold the little snacks!

We’ve got more fun supplies ordered for other doll-sized accessories, so I think our Fall and Winter will stay pretty busy on Islandshire. Stay tuned for more dolly fun!
