We went to the American Girl Columbus store yesterday and thought we’d share a review of the latest releases for The Twins, Nicki and Isabel Hoffman.
Y2K OUTFITS. They look and fit just like the stock photos. Nice replacements for the originals. The red jumper is a little on the roomy side (which is attractive) but felt to me like an 18″ AG doll who came out a bit thin (like my Bunty) might look like she’s wearing her big sister’s clothes. And even that’s just a thought, because only you know if AG’s clothes always look too roomy on your own doll. Very cute!

NEW YEAR’S PARTY ACCESSORIES. Why in the world is AG pretending that we didn’t all call it Y2K or Millenium? Anyway, we all thought this set was really cute and worth the $32. If you ignore the glasses, they’d be perfect for ANY New Year celebration!
GIRL OF TODAY T-SHIRT. Nice tee. Not as long as the originals, with more of a modern girlie shape to them, but they give the idea really well!
SLUMBER PARTY KIT. This looked adorable in the store display, where four dolls were ready for bed and doing each other’s hair and nails. Little girls will probably love this set, so this would make a great gift from Gramma! If you aren’t a kid or don’t have a display that can show the doll with the stuff, it probably wouldn’t be worth it. Very plastic-y looking.
MOVIE NIGHT SET. One of the cutest and best value sets AG has made in years! Everyone who eats popcorn and/or watched VHS tapes should have one of these sets! Absolutely adorable! (The VHS case and removable tape will bring back a lot of memories.)
