BREAKING NEWS — Wool Week is a Go!

This just in from Bunty re: her annual Campaign for Wool event.
Eliot surprised his sister yesterday with a permanent venue for her Wool Week gear in the form of a storefront on Main Street which she has aptly named “Sheep Shop”. Having bought the health-food store from Amabel, Hibiscus has decided to move The Mango Tree off Main Street. In a sharp move, Eliot struck a deal with Henry (Islandshire’s premiere real-estate agent, see ad on page 2) before the paint on the sign was dry, ending Bunty’s dilemma once and for all.
The Redhead Club members have arrived from their off-island homes to help pull this off in record time. “I couldn’t do it without my friends, and I can assure the public that my new store will be fully stocked and ready to go before the Street Fair opens,” Bunty said.
In a bold move for such short notice, Bunty has decided to hold her main Wool Week event on Main Street, in front of her new store and across from the Seaside Diner. Eliot has ordered that the street be closed off for the entire block from Thursday night through Monday morning. The Saturday festivities begin at 5:00pm and end with fireworks at 8:30pm. The Diner will be open throughout that time, so come for Dinner and stay for the rest of the fun. Everyone will be there!
We asked Bunty what we could expect to see/do during the Street Fair this year. “We didn’t have time to make arrangements for the Petting Zoo or RBST lecture this year, but there’ll be lots of eating and shopping fun to be had. We’re expecting a large turn-out for the fireworks my brother has ordered, so come early and stay late. And I do want to say that between 5 and 8, Bethany and Olivia will be on the beach (next to the Sheep Shop), offering  “5-Minute Portraits”. No reservation needed, but come early if you don’t want to leave without one.”

We owe a big thanks to Bunty and her crew of volunteers who annually turn Wool Week into Islandshire’s favorite get-together. And let’s not forget Eliot this year, who made it all possible with his new Main Street lighting and “quick” solution to Bunty’s venue crisis. There was a rumor going around that Main Street was going to be re-paved for the Street Fair, but Eliot emphatically denies the existence of any such plans.
