About Bunty

Hello, everyone! My name is Harriet Constance Emily — but everyone just calls me “Bunty”. My brother Eliot and I live in our old ancestral home in Cornwall, England, but we spend a good portion of our time with our friends on Islandshire. We enjoy history together and spend a lot of time learning about our family history, but my real passion is wool! Anything about sheep and wool certainly makes my day.

My very favorite sheep breeds are the English Longwools, though I also love helping efforts to save the many old breeds that are now on Conservation lists. I have five pet sheep — the oldest is Berengaria (a Whiteface Dartmoor). She has two lambs, Wilberforce (he’s a bit grumpy) and Molenick (she’s very sweet). Then, there’s Sheepie (a Black Welsh Mountain whose full name is Camilla) and Albie, my rambunctious Leicester Longwool lamb!

I love to organize charity bazaars, benefits and fund-raisers. My biggest project is an annual wool show put on during the official Campaign for Wool “Wool Week”. This is a movement, started by Prince Charles, that strives to encourage manufacturers, retailers and consumers to realize the wonderful qualities and benefits of wool. This is such an inspiring movement that I decided to start my own Campaign for Wool on Islandshire! The big event will be a large wool show during Wool Week — all proceeds will go to the sheep conservation efforts of the RBST (Rare Breeds Survival Trust).

If you enjoy wool (or would like to learn more about it), please be sure to check out our Wool Week events by clicking on the “Photo Stories” tab at the top of this page.

Doll Facts About Bunty
Bunty is a customized “American Girl” doll. She was a Girl of the Year Joss Kendrick doll who now wears an AG CYO “red, medium curly with bangs” wig. She has had an eye swap and now has old-style grey eyes from a mid-era JLY #20.

Bunty’s pet sheep, Berengaria and Sheepie, are plush pets on a wire armature. They are made by Hansa Toy Company. You can find them here:

They are also available for doll pet adoption on Amazon.com.

Berengaria’s lambs, Wilberforce and Molenick, are plush pets made by the Canadian doll company, Maplelea. You can find them here:

Bunty’s pet lamb, Albie, was needle-felted by me out of Leicester Longwool locks. The wool came from a registered lamb (called Albert) at Moonbeam Estate Farm in Virginia. Albie is felted on a wire armature, so he is slightly poseable.
